Tutor.com Receives Platinum Award in 2026 Modern Library Awards from LibraryWorks
Company Earns Sixth Consecutive Platinum Honor
NEW YORK, January 23, 2026 /— Tutor.com, one of the world’s largest and most innovative online tutoring organizations, is pleased to announce that it has received a Platinum Award in LibraryWorks’ 2026 Modern Library Awards (MLAs). This recognition marks the sixth consecutive year Tutor.com has earned an MLA Platinum Award—the award program's highest classification.
Products and services for the 2026 awards were submitted in the fall of 2025 using a simple application and then were posted on a private site with an enhanced description and attendant materials. These submissions were batched into small groups and sent to the LibraryWorks database of more than 80,000 librarians at public, K-12, academic, and special libraries. Only customers with experience with these products/services in their facilities were permitted to judge the products/services, resulting in a truly unbiased score.
Each judge scored the product on a numeric basis from 1–10 on a series of questions regarding functionality, value, customer service, and other categories. Tutor.com received the highest possible distinction of Platinum in the 2026 awards program. One participating judge shared the following feedback:
“Tutor.com is one of my organization’s most utilized digital resources. Because it is a statewide program in a state with many remote and rural communities and widespread low income, free and accessible tutoring for all ages is invaluable for our residents. The 12-hour window for live tutoring and the asynchronous tutoring option are especially appreciated for improving accessibility to this product. Lastly, my contacts at Tutor.com are helpful, responsive, and wonderful!”
“We are incredibly proud to be recognized by library professionals for the sixth year in a row,” said John Calvello, Chief Institutional Officer, Tutor.com/The Princeton Review. “Libraries continue to be essential access points for learning and workforce support, and we remain committed to partnering with them to ensure learners of all ages can connect with expert help when and how they need it.”
Patrons across the country can access the service at no cost to them through their libraries’ Tutor.com programs. Tutor.com supports learners in K–12, higher education, continuing education, and job-seeking pursuits. With their library cards, patrons at partner libraries can access expert support resources, including:
- Individualized online tutoring with fully vetted expert tutors and career coaches in more than 200 subjects, including bilingual offerings
- Live and drop-off writing review services for essays, resumes, and cover letters
