Tutor.com Celebrates Successful Partnership
With Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District

NEW YORK, October 18, 2021 /— Tutor.com, one of the world’s largest online tutoring services, is pleased to celebrate the early success of a nearly yearlong partnership with Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.

In 2020, EMS ISD selected Tutor.com to provide online tutoring services for the district’s 22,298 students in grades pre-K–12 across all 29 campuses. Through the partnership, students enrolled in EMS ISD schools can access on-demand, 1-to-1 learning support from Tutor.com’s expert tutors seven days a week, from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. The service provides homework help across more than 200 subjects, along with drop-off essay review and test prep. The result: Students receive crucial learning support when and where they need it—on their computers, tablets, or mobile devices.

“We are proud and honored to serve EMS ISD students of all ages and stages—and to support their dedicated teachers,” said Tanya Walker, Senior Executive Director, Educational Partnerships, Tutor.com. “In our collaborations with EMS ISD leaders to customize this program, we have long admired their commitment to ensuring that all students have the support they need to succeed, and teachers the additional help they need to reinforce lessons taught in class.”

Dr. Linda Parker, EMS ISD Deputy Superintendent, said the service is useful for students who need homework help later than their teachers’ regular tutoring hours. “This free, supplemental service is an asset to our students needing help with classwork,” Parker said. “Since the program is offered online and on-demand, parents don’t have to worry about transportation or scheduling, and they can be with their child while they receive instruction.”

In their post-session surveys, students have praised the EMS ISD Tutor.com program. “This is a great way to help me figure out what do to without getting the answer told to me,” wrote one tenth-grader. “It helped me think and figure it out myself while also getting some guidance. I also like that I have the option to just chat. I’m very shy and get nervous when doing things like this. Overall, this was a great experience.”

A sixth-grader said her tutor helped boost her confidence with math skills. “My tutor was great and definitely helped me feel more confident in my ability to do this part of math,” she wrote. “I am very positive this will help bring my math grade up.”

In addition to supporting students, the partnership also provides EMS ISD teachers and staff with access to real-time data and analytics through Tutor.com’s Client Portal, a dashboard providing information about tutoring session activity. On the Client Portal, they can get actionable data to address curricular challenges and provide just-in-time support for students who need it.
