Our AI Literacy course equips learners with the skills to use artificial intelligence responsibly through guided interactions with large language models (LLMs) in a safe, educator-supported environment. Designed with transparency, privacy, and security at its core, the course keeps all activity within Tutor.com’s secure ecosystem and outside external model training. Learners build confidence in crafting effective prompts, evaluating AI-generated responses, and developing the critical thinking skills needed to engage thoughtfully with emerging AI technologies. As always, student data remains protected and is never used to train Tutor.com’s AI models or any external AI systems.

Will your AI tools give answers to students?
We ethically built our AI tools to deliver empowering, encouraging learning engagements—similar to what students would experience with live human expert tutors. Our AI tools never give students the answers. Instead, they ask guiding questions to help students figure out how to solve challenging problems with increasing independence. They’ll provide scaffolding and regular encouragement.
Who developed your AI tools?
We have a team of subject-matter experts who purpose-built, trained, and continually refine our AI for Learning tools. They include professionals with higher education degrees in biochemistry, biology, computer science, chemistry, medicine, nursing, geology, physics, petroleum sciences, mathematics, economics, business administration, accounting, pharmacy, law, history, education, political science, philosophy, psychology, criminal justice, music, graphic design, foreign languages and literatures, and more.
What are the quality-control practices you have in place?
We employ the same high level of quality control to our AI for Learning tools as we do to our live human tutoring sessions. AI sessions are fully integrated into our quality-control tools, and sessions are included within an ongoing cycle of testing and monitoring. Prompt updates are made based on client, student, and subject-matter expert feedback.
