The Marine Corps Contracts with Tutor.com to Offer Live Homework Help®

Marine Corps Families have Access to One-to-One Tutoring Online 24/7

NEW YORK, October 7, 2008 - Tutor.com, the #1 online homework help and tutoring service announced today that the United States Marine Corps (USMC) has signed a one-year contract to offer Marine families 24/7 access to Tutor.com's Live Homework Help program through base libraries. Students of any age from kindergartners to high school seniors, as well as adult students may use the service to connect to an expert tutor for help in math, science, social studies and English.

There are over 50,000 school age children and young adults living on Marine bases around the world. Live Homework Help will be available to all of them and their parents via libraries on each base or from home by visiting www.usmc-mccs.org. All they need is a computer and Internet access to connect to a professional tutor for a one-to-one homework session.

"Tutor.com is proud to support the families of the men and women who are serving our country especially during a time of war when many parents are deployed and spending time away from their children," said George Cigale, founder and CEO of Tutor.com. "We hope that offering Live Homework Help will give parents peace of mind that their children have academic support whenever they need it and take away at least this stressful piece of family life, while making school work more fun for kids."

The Marine Corps is one of 87 new Live Homework Help clients Tutor.com has welcomed over 2008. Tutor.com now works with over 300 public library systems including three state-wide programs that represent well over 1,800 public library locations across the country. Our clients include urban, suburban and rural libraries of all sizes serving diverse populations. Each school night, our tutors are assisting over 6,000 students in one-to-one sessions with math, science, social studies, English, essay writing and skills building. Over 140,000 students connected to a professional tutor in September alone.
