Tutor.com Named as One of the 5,000 Fastest-Growing Businesses by Inc. Magazine

Tutor.com Ranks No. 2,192 on the 2007 Inc. 5,000 With Three-Year Sales Growth of 163.7%

New York, NY (August 29, 2007) – Tutor.com, the leading provider of on demand tutoring and homework help was ranked as No. 2,192 on the first-ever Inc. 5,000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the country. Tutor.com's ranking was based on a three-year sales growth of 163.7%. The Inc. 5,000, an extension of Inc. magazine's annual Inc. 500 list, catches many businesses that are too big to grow at the pace required to make the Inc. 500, as well as a host of smaller firms.

"This is a special honor that recognizes how impressive the company's growth has been over the past several years," said George Cigale, founder and CEO of Tutor.com. "We expect our growth trajectory to continue as we increase our marketing efforts and develop additional business partnerships to reach the millions of students and families who could benefit from on demand tutoring."

Tutor.com has completed over 2.5 million tutoring sessions and expects to complete a million more during the 2007-2008 school year after completing over 720,000 during the 2006-2007 school year. The company is continuing its fast-paced growth thanks to an expansion funding of $13.5 million led by Intel Capital in the spring of 2007. The funding is being used to market the company's family subscription service, Tutor.com Direct and to continue recruiting professional tutors. Tutor.com already has over 1,800 tutors, the largest online tutor network available.

Tutor.com offers on demand tutoring seven days a week for students in grades 4-12 and those taking introductory college courses. While traditional in-person tutoring services as well as many online tutoring companies require scheduled appointments with the same tutor at the same time each week, students who use Tutor.com services are empowered to get help the minute they get stuck. Students connect to a professional tutor for one-to-one sessions in math, science, social studies and English. Over 90% of students and parents using Tutor.com's homework and tutoring services report they would recommend it to a friend.

The 2007 Inc. 5,000, as revealed online at www.inc.com, reported median revenue of $9.4 million and median three-year growth of 140 percent. Complete information on this year's Inc. 5,000, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.
