Career Experience

Having completed a PhD in English, I now write and edit books and essays on literature. I have also taught college English and writing classes for many years. I have been tutoring for more than ten years and have a blast working with students of any level!

I Love Tutoring Because

lots of students tell me they are intimidated by the writing process or that they are not good writers and never will be, which is far from true! Everyone has their own unique voice and ideas waiting to be heard, and I love working with students to help them feel confident expressing themselves in writing. I also love discussing literature questions of all kinds and hearing what students think about the texts they have read.

Next time, I need to create a better thesis statement, delete any repetitive wording, and strengthen my transitions between each paragraph. Also, when using MLA format, I need to remove the word print from the MLA citation.
