I have been teaching for 21 years, as a college professor and as a tutor for high school students. I have taught physics, astronomy, chemistry and mathematics. I am also a consulting engineer, having spent 36 years in the nuclear power industry. I am qualified to tutor using the new classroom.
I want students to succeed so that they can contribute fully to society. By tutoring, I can enhance the students’ understanding, fully boost their confidence and broaden their interests. I love science and mathematics, and I believe that when students succeed, they too can enjoy these subjects. I have great empathy for students and can recognize their strengths and weaknesses. I have the ability to recognize where their difficulties lie and give them the insight needed to understand the subject matter. I derive great enjoyment from seeing them feel good about themselves and their accomplishments.
