LANA (Customer)
[00:00:00] the slope is -4/3. Is this undefined?

Lisa H (Tutor)

LANA (Customer)
[00:00:30] I found a slope for a graph I had in my homework
[00:00:37] and they are asking if it is undefined
[00:00:42] I am not sure what that means

Lisa H (Tutor)
[00:01:19] A line that has undefined slope is vertical or has a zero on the bottom

LANA (Customer)
[00:01:36] the x intercept was (3,0) and the y intercept was (0,4)
[00:01:51] ok

Lisa H (Tutor)
[00:02:11] are you using the slope formula?
[00:02:20] or are you looking at graphs?

LANA (Customer)
[00:02:21] yes I am
[00:02:36] they gave me a graph to find the x and y intercept
[00:02:46] than I used the slope formula to figure out the slope

Lisa H (Tutor)
[00:02:54] then as long as you get a number other than zero in your denominator you have slope
[00:03:10] if you had something like this
[00:03:33] i just made up those numbers

LANA (Customer)
[00:03:39] ohhh okay

Lisa H (Tutor)
[00:03:46] but that is undefined bc you have a zero in the bottome
[00:03:51] make sense??

LANA (Customer)
[00:03:53] ohhh i got u
[00:03:59] so this slope is not undefined!

Lisa H (Tutor)
[00:04:06] no
[00:04:15] you did it right
[00:04:28] slope is -4/3

LANA (Customer)
[00:04:33] perfect I Thank you!
