i need someone to explain to me why when looking for area it is just l x w and is that just for a rectangle, can it also be for a square shape. perimeter i find it to be easier b/c it is the sum of all sides. however, when it comes to circle is it area = 3.14 x r square and is that the same thing for circumference b/c for the latter one i have c= 3.14 x d = 2 x 3.14 xr please help me why i get the last one mixed up. again calculating the area and the circumference the same thing. please explain with diagrams so that i can better understand.
