Daniel I. DeWolf

Daniel I. De Wolf is a founding member and Managing Director of Dawntreader Ventures, which was established in 1998. Mr. DeWolf is also an Adjunct Professor at the New York University Law School, where he teaches venture capital law. From 1999 until 2003, Mr. De Wolf was Head of Venture Capital Funds at Wit Capital and SoundView Technology Group. Prior to joining Dawntreader, Mr. DeWolf was a Partner and of Counsel to the law firm of Cahmy, Karlinsky & Stein LLP ("CKS") in New York City. Mr. DeWolf established the Corporate and Securities Practice Group at CKS in 1994 and was the head of the firm's New Media and E-Law Group. Mr. DeWolf has over 20 years of corporate transactional experience and has been an advisor to many early and developmental stage companies. Mr. DeWolf is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania as well as the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.

 

Therese "Terry" Crane, Ed. D.

Dr. Therese "Terry" Crane, Dr. Crane has spent more than 30 years as an educator, technology expert and leader in the education field. Her distinguished career includes serving as a Vice President at AOL where she was responsible for the company's education strategy and initiatives including AOL@SCHOOL, the Research and Learn, and Parenting categories. She previously served as President of Compass Learning, formerly Jostens Learning Corporation, where she oversaw the management of the company's core K-12 software business and served as the key liaison to the education community. In the 1990's, Dr. Crane led Apple Computer's North American Education Division. A native of Texas, Dr. Crane has a doctoral degree in educational leadership and a master's in early childhood education from the University of North Texas. Dr. Crane earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education and mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin.

 

Kylie A. D. Sachs

Kylie A. D. Sachs is a Partner of Ascend Venture Group. Ms. Sachs served in several operating and managerial roles at PRIMEDIA Inc. Prior to her tenure at PRIMEDIA, Kylie served as a Director of Corporate and Business Development at 360HipHop, a media company founded by Russell Simmons. Kylie also has a background in investment banking, having worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co., Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette and Peter J. Solomon Company. Ms. Sachs serves as a director of Printroom.com, Inc. and Boxxet, Inc.; is an observer to the NextMedium, Inc. and Retention Education, Inc. boards of directors; and is a director on the board of trustees of Literacy, Inc. Ms. Sachs earned a B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

 

Sang Ahn

Sang Ahn is a Principal of Dawntreader Ventures. Mr. Ahn joined Dawntreader Ventures from Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group where he worked with Fortune 500 companies on a variety of strategic and operational issues ranging from corporate strategy, sales growth, and new product development to vendor analysis and enterprise software implementation. While at Deloitte Consulting, he advised companies in the Telecommunications, Life Sciences and Financial Services industries. Mr. Ahn graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Politics.

 

George Cigale, CEO

George Cigale has served as Tutor.com's Chairman and CEO since founding the Company in 1998. During his tenure, Mr. Cigale has raised over $30 million in venture capital and secured strategic partnerships with top education and media companies. He has assembled an accomplished management team and Board of Directors. Under Mr. Cigale's leadership, Tutor.com has created the leading on demand homework help and online tutoring services, making professional tutors available to all students the minute they need academic help. Mr. Cigale brings over 15 years of experience in education, software, and Internet industries, in executive positions at The Share Group, Adizes Institute, and The Princeton Review. Mr. Cigale served on the Board of the Education Industry Association from 2001-2006. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Americans for Libraries Council, is a guest lecturer on venture capital law at NYU Law School, and has been published in the Library Journal. Mr. Cigale received a BA in Political Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and currently lives in Pleasantville, New York, with his wife and three children. Robert B. Reich

Robert B. Reich is Professor of Public Policy at the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley. He has served in three national administrations, most recently as Secretary of Labor under President Bill Clinton. Mr. Reich has authored eleven books on economics and the changing nature of work, including "The Work of Nations," which has been translated into 22 languages. He is a consultant to many businesses and governments. Accenture recently named him among the three most influential business thinkers in the world, and his weekly commentaries on public radio's "Marketplace" are heard by nearly five million people. Reich has been a member of the faculties of Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government and of Brandeis University. He received his B.A. from Dartmouth College, his M.A. from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and his J.D. from Yale Law School.
