Sales Director, K12 Schools

Reports to: VP of Institutional Sales

Position Overview

The Sales Director, K12 Schools will leverage their knowledge of the K12 educational environment to drive sales, create strategies and provide market feedback of Tutor.com services. This person should posses a strong career interest in providing innovative educational solutions to students, educators and administrators.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth through enhancing/optimizing current sales strategies and identifying/closing new business and sales opportunities.
  • Aggressively peruse and rapidly qualify leads to verify interest and availability of district and/or state funding.
  • Coordinate and conduct regular sales calls with key clients and prospects, including delivery of strategic sales presentations via webinar and in person with the highest level of professionalism.
  • Accelerate school and district adoption by effectively navigating complex sales processes that includes multiple decision makers and influencers at all levels of the administration.
  • Ensure company staff and management are informed of customer and prospect trends and product and service performance and needs.

Candidate Qualifications and Characteristics:

  • Desire to take a company from good to great, overcoming challenges, leading to tremendous growth in shareholder value
  • Minimum qualifications and experience: 4 year degree plus 5 years successful outside field sales experience in K12 Schools Market
  • History of strong relationships within the K12 Schools Market
  • Knowledgeable about funding streams/sources for educational services in K12 Market
  • Proven history of reaching sales quotas and targets.
  • Working knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills, writing skills, and closing skills
  • Able to work from home office and travel to customer locations

The K12 Regional Sales Director position does require frequent travel.
